Community OUTREACH

"It takes a village to raise a child" - African Proverb. 
​CAKE African Village is the our 501(c)3 non-profit foundation that focuses on engaging and enriching social programs. These programs are usually offered annually and are usually free to attend. Casual information-based meet-up designed to impart knowledge unto parents. Past meet-ups have included Financial literacy for the family, College funding & scholarship resources, natural hair treatment, etc.

Founded by Dr. Teju Adesida, a board member of CAKE Village, GSAP is a leadership & cultural identity empowerment conference for pre-teens. Girls learn to plan for excellence while advocating for themselves.

A kid-focused celebration of African. Theme varies and more than one fest may be held per year. Mini kids-festivals are occasionally held. Past event have included taste of Ghana, Taste of Ethiopia, Nigerian Kids Festival, etc.

Our very popular, year-round school assembly series. We bring Africa cultural fun to your students in the form of interactive performing, visual and language arts. Series includes drumming, dancing, plays, readings, tastings, mythology, drawing, etc. Visit TheCAKEVillage.com for details.
